We’ll continue with our digital imaging system, and there’s no question this has been very well received. This system allows you to see your previews on a computer projection screen IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SESSION. We can remember the old days of returning to the studio later to preview. Now we’ll do the session and order all at once to SAVE YOU TIME!
Light Or White Is Still Best!
Craig will again be designing a NEW EASTER BACKGROUND especially for this event. A simple, very light color scheme is in store with the fresh look we’re going for at Easter time. So plan to dress your children in light clothing. White or pastels work especially well, and casual light Kahki’s are great too!. (Might we suggest bare feet for the little kids . . . . . . . . those “piggies” are so cute!)

This is the most popular children’s special we run all year, and many of you have been asking about it already. So get your calendar out and find the time that works best for you and BOOK ONLINE NOW, before those best times are taken.
Here’s answers to the most commonly asked questions:
What does it cost?
The camera fee for the Easter Special is due when you book your session. There are two prices for the session fee, $35 or $20 depending on the time of day. Primetime (after school and Saturday) are the first to book. You can save by booking for early Thursday or Friday session times. Typical print prices range from $39 to only $25 per print. You choose the poses you like best, in the quantity you need! There is no minimum order, get only 1 print if you choose. Our popular Easter Greeting cards are also available. A complete price listing will be sent to you when you set your appointment.
How do I book my session?
We have an online calendar that you can set the time that will work best for you. You can claim your session time and pre-pay your session fee with a credit/debit card to hold your session time. Due to the high demand of some time slots we’ve done this to be as fair to everyone as possible.
How long until I see the portraits?
We’ll preview your selections on our digital imaging system immediately after the photography session. You’ll have the opportunity to place your order at that time. Although we cannot guarantee it, we will make all attempts to get the portraits to you by Easter, whenever possible. (Easter this year is April 8).

How does the session work? How many shots do you take?
The session includes about 4 to 6 poses in a 15 minute session. Craig tries to get a variety of different poses for you; some “smiles to the camera”, and some shots more interactive with the animals. Always with children, we don’t know exactly what we’re going to get. Some children are fearless, others so afraid that to get even one shot is an accomplishment. Just know, with Craig’s experience and skill in photographing children, along with the set, the lights, you have the best chance at getting some wonderful portraits that will be treasured from many years to come.
How do I best prepare for the portrait?
Keep nap time in mind so we have the best chance at a good expression. Tell your child we are going see the bunny and baby chicks! It might be a good idea to avoid the phrase “We’re going to have your picture taken,” or “Make sure you smile for the camera.” This tends to cause nervousness or fear because they don’t know what to do. They DO know how to have fun. Then during the session, constant reassurance and praise is best.. Remember our saying:
“kids never behave the way you expect them to.”
What about clothing or props?
The clothing, props and background are meant to keep the attention on the precious little face of the child. Dress your child in light clothing to stay in the same light tones as the background. White, light tones or pastels are all great choices. We’ll have special white props and of course the LIVE animals to pull it all together. (Please let us know if you have any animal preferences. At press time, we are expecting to have Bunnies and Baby Chicks, or possibly baby ducklings, but availability can change depending on several factors including unpredictable weather. The background, light clothing and animals will wonderfully highlight your child as a “star attraction”.
Can you photograph my children together AND separately?
Absolutely! We call this an additional grouping. Our camera fee is charged “per grouping.” For example, you can schedule 3 consecutive sessions to do 2 children, 1 session together, and 1 session of each one alone. Simply book those multiple session together when you call, and that amount of time will be saved for you. However, since this special books up quite tightly, it’s hard to make those accommodations on the day of the session without planning ahead.
How do we place our order?
We have our digital preview system to make your portrait selections RIGHT AFTER THE SESSION! You can then order your favorite shot in any size print, from Wallets to Wall Prints. Order any quantity of prints you choose. We have arranged to allow you to order INDIVIDUAL photographs on 3×5 prints or larger. This allows you the greatest amount of flexibility to order the sizes and quantities that fit your needs best. A copy of the price list will be sent along with your appointment confirmation after you set your appointment time.
Can I have Dad, Auntie or Grandma help me pick?
Absolutely! Simply bring them along to the studio and they can enjoy the session, and then they can help choose your child’s portraits on the computer screen. Their input is always appreciated and they’ll have FUN too!
Will the pictures be back by Easter?
Although we cannot guarantee it, we will make every effort to get the photographs completed by Easter weekend.

What if I don’t like the pictures?
If you are not happy with your previews for any reason, please let us know and we will do our best to get what you want. You may:
1) retake additional portraits, no charge, or
2) apply the fee to any other session in the future.
If your completed photographs aren’t everything you thought they’d be, we’ll make them over, at no additional cost. So you have nothing to risk, period!
IT’S GOING TO BE A SELLOUT!
Some clients have already called ahead to schedule time on their own. That’s why we are informing you of this special now. Previous experience has told us that our Easter Special will be BOOKED SOLID.
Easy 1, 2, 3 Steps
1) Check out the dates and times available on the ONLINE SCHEDULER considering your work and school schedules. Prime times are first to book up (after school Thursday and Friday, and of course Saturday). Daytime is also popular for the pre-schoolers. Sessions are limited to this period only and all sessions are booked on a first come, first served basis.
2) Set your appointment for your best time and make payment securely online. (Please let us know if you have any further questions.)
3) Get the light colored Easter outfits ready, and when you arrive, be ready for a GREAT EXPERIENCE!
